Hotak

The Hotak (Pashto: هوتک), or Hotaki (Pashto: هوتکي), are a tribe of the Ghilji confederacy of the Pashtun people.[1][2]

History

The Hotak started long ago as a political family. The first king to take power in Kandahar, Afghanistan, was Mirwais Hotak (1673–1715).[3] After his death many different Hotaks took the throne, such as Mahmud Hotak, Ashraf Hotak, and Hussain Hotak, eventually losing control.There are only some direct descendants of Mirwais Hotak. In fact only three elder ones are still alive they live in Pakistan.Direct decendant of Mirwais hotaki is NASEEBULLAH KHAN HOTAK who live in Quetta (Balochistan)and once was working for pakistan police Ex Deputy Inspector General(DIG) of Police.He has seven childerns three sons named as 1.Meahrullah khan Hotak 2.Noorullah khan Hotak 3.Ikramullah khan Hotak

and four daughters.

1.Saima Hotaki. 2.Gulalai Hotaki. 3.Shabnum Hotaki. 4.Anum Hotak.
