Hippotion melichari is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is found in Madagascar.
The length of the forewings is about 30 mm. It is superficially similar in body and forewing upperside pattern to Hippotion eson, but smaller and immediately distinguishable by the dark brown hindwing upperside with a poorly developed buff median band.
