Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure

The Department for Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is a large South Australian government department which provides a range of services across the three key words of its title. The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure works as part of the community to deliver effective planning policy, efficient transport, and valuable social and economic infrastructure. By harnessing the diversity of our purposes and people we strive to achieve positive outcomes that will improve the lifestyles of all South Australians every day. [1]

Ministers

As at 02 February 2016 five ministers have responsibility for aspects of the department's operations:[2]

Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive Officer is Michael Deegan, who was announced as the Chief Executive Officer on 25 July 2014.[8]

Structure

The department is structured as follows:

People and Business Division - brings together our people and financial strengths

Safety and Service Division - puts safety and service at the forefront of everything we do and brings together our project development and building management skills

Development Division– focuses on the economic opportunities that need to be realised to bring investment and employment to the State
