"Hey Bartender" is a song written by Floyd Dixon in 1954. A ska cover by Laurel Aitken in 1961[1] made the song a huge success. It was subsequently covered and recorded live by The Blues Brothers in 1978 and also recorded by American country music artist Johnny Lee. It was released in June 1983 as the first single and title track from his album Hey Bartender. The song reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart[2] and number 1 on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada.[3]
