Herpetogramma moderatalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Yamanaka in 2003. It is found in Japan,[1] Korea,[2] the Russian Far East (Amur,[3] Ussuri) and China.

The wingspan is 31–35 mm.[4]

The larvae have been recorded feeding on Petasites japonica, living in a rolled leaf of their host plant.[5]
