Herman Henry Riddick (July 28, 1907 – September 30, 1968) was the ninth head football coach for the North Carolina Central University Eagles located in Durham, North Carolina and he held that position for twenty seasons (longer than any other coach), from 1945 until 1964. His coaching record at North Carolina Central was 111 wins, 57 losses, and 11 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him first at North Carolina Central in total wins and third at North Carolina Central in winning percentage (.651).[2]
