Herbert Curteis (cricketer, born 1823)
Herbert Mascall Curteis (8 January 1823 – 16 June 1895) was an English cricketer active from 1841 to 1860 who played for Sussex. He was born in Florence and died in Hailsham. He appeared in 57 first-class matches as a righthanded batsman who bowled slow roundarm. Career data is incomplete but he accounted for 560 runs with a highest score of 29 and took eleven wickets with a best performance of three in one innings. His two sons also played for Sussex.[1]
