Henri Belolo
Henri Belolo (born November 1936) is a French music producer active during the disco era. Together with his friend composer Jacques Morali, he created The Ritchie Family[1] as well as their most successful group, Village People.[2]
Belolo was born in Casablanca, Morocco.[3] Unlike his associate Morali, Belolo is not gay,[4] but saw Village People's gay image as a way to embody a certain partying spirit. He continues to work in France as a music producer.
