Hendersonville High School is a public school that was chartered in 1901 and then moved into its present facility in 1926. The site of this school was once a plum thicket.
Although the school is one of tradition, it is also a leader in new and innovative approaches to meet the current needs of public education. Many teachers worked in their discipline in industry or management before pursuing their teaching careers.
The students are served by three administrators, all of whom spent time in the classroom before taking on administrative responsibilities.

Hendersonville High School serves grades 9 through 12.
