HealthDay’s health news service is a division of ScoutNews, LLC, a private company co-founded in 2001 by George Giokas [1] which is based in Norwalk, CT.

HealthDay's digital and video news products are licensed to media companies, hospitals, managed care organizations, publishers, non-profits, and government agencies, including WebMD and Everyday Health.

History

HealthDay named Dr. Cynthia Haines as the Chief Medical Officer of its news site in 2008.[2] HealthDay has Twitter chats in partnership with the Mayo Clinic [3] and hosts HealthDay’s news video series, HealthDay TV.[4]They have won 2 awards/nominations:
