"Hate You" is the eighth Korean single by South Korean girl group 2NE1. It's the third Korean single from the groups EP 2NE1 2nd Mini Album.[1] It's also the second Japanese single from the same albums Japanese version Nolza, released on August 10, 2011.[2]
Release
The song was produced by YG Entertainment's main producer, Teddy Park. It was digitally released worldwide on July 21, 2011 under the group's label, YG Entertainment.[3] In the group's TV show 2NE1 TV, Teddy Park revealed that the song was originally called "Fuck You" thus the song could have been contained a mature word, but was later modified making it clean and the final version that is already included in the album. He played a snippet of the original track but the word 'Fuck' was censored. From the same show, CL said that the song was supposed to be included on their first album.
