Hart Jessup is a fictional character from the daytime soap opera Guiding Light on and off from 1991 to 1999.
Character history
Hart Jessup is the son of the late Roger Thorpe and Laura Jessup. After his maternal grandfather Peter Jessup's death, Hart learned the truth about who his father was – the infamous Roger Thorpe. Through Hart didn't get along with his father, Hart became very close with his half-sister Christina "Blake" Thorpe Marler. Hart has two children, a son Peter Reardon from a one-night stand with Bridget Reardon and Roger Joshua "R.J." Winslow from his relationship with Cassie Layne. Hart didn't know about his son Peter for the first years of his life; when he learned of his son, he wanted to make up for lost time. Hart died following surgery after being accidentally being shot by his ex-wife Dinah Marler.
