Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Wilhelm Georg Gustav Botho Rudolf Hans Reichsfreiherr von Boineburg-Lengsfeld[a] (9 June 1889 – 20 November 1980) was a German general who commanded several panzer divisions during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans Reichsfreiherr von Boineburg-Lengsfeld was captured in May 1945 and was held until 1946.
