Hans Büntemeyer (3 April 1914 – 17 March 1945) was a highly decorated Major of the Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans Büntemeyer was killed on 17 March 1945 near Zinten, East Prussia. He was posthumously promoted to Major der Reserve.
