In Popular Culture

Hampton High School was used on location for the 2011 thriller Abduction, starring Taylor Lautner, Sigourney Weaver and Maria Bello. The art room was used for the setting (converted to a sociology room), as well as the front parking lot, gymnasium, wood shop, cafeteria, girls' locker room and auditorium. The auditorium was used for the primary fight sequences and the death scene. The school's name, mascot (Heathcliff the rabid Talbot) and fight song (Onward, Hampton) were kept for the film. Filming on site began July 12, 2010.[4]
