Hampala dispar is a southeast Asian species of cyprinid, endemic to the basin of the Mekong.[1][2] This fish is found in Thailand, Lao PDR and Cambodia.

As food

Reaching a length of 35 cm, this fish is one of the fish species that has been used as food in Southeast Asia since ancient times.[3]
