Habana Eva is a 2010 Venezuelan romantic comedy film directed by Fina Torres, starring Prakriti Maduro and Juan Carlos García and filmed in La Habana, Cuba.
The film won the Best Picture award at the New York International Latino Film Festival on 2 August 2010. [1]
Plot
Eva (Maduro) works as a seamstress in a sweatshop where she dreams to become a fashion designer and own a room to marry her longtime partner Angel (Almirante) an indolent yet charming islander. Her destiny changes when she meets Jorge (García) a handsome and wealthy exiled raised in Venezuela who visits Cuba with a more ambitious project than taking photos for a book. Eva falls for him and has to decide between the two.
