Héctor José Hernández Marrero (born 14 September 1995), simply known as Héctor, is a Spanish footballer who plays for Elche CF on loan from Atlético Madrid as a striker.

Club career

Born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Héctor started playing football with hometown UD Las Palmas, and made his senior debuts with the reserves in the 2012–13 campaign, in Tercera División. On 15 May 2013 he moved to Atlético Madrid, for a 250,000 plus 750,000 in add-ons.[1] He was initially assigned to the B-team in Segunda División B.

Héctor made his debut with the Colchoneros' first team on 18 December 2013, replacing Léo Baptistão and scoring his side's first of a 2–1 Copa del Rey home win against UE Sant Andreu (6–1 on aggregate).[2] On 25 August of the following year he made his La Liga debut, replacing Mario Mandžukić in a 0–0 draw at Rayo Vallecano.[3]

On 13 August 2015 Héctor was loaned to Elche CF in Segunda División, in a season-long deal.[4]
