The slender fusilier (Gymnocaesio gymnoptera) is a species of fusilier native to tropical reefs in the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean, where it can be found at depths from the surface to 500 m (1,600 ft). This species grows to 18 cm (7.1 in) in total length. It is of minor importance to local commercial fisheries. This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
