Gummo is the soundtrack album to the film of the same name[3] and contains songs that were recorded specifically for the film or were featured in the film.[4] The album is mostly made up of various forms of heavy metal and hardcore punk music, ranging from black metal, to death metal, to powerviolence, to grindcore, stoner metal and sludge metal.[2] The soundtrack also includes a few industrial metal, power electronics, drum and bass, bluegrass, classical and folk selections,[2] most notably an abridged version of Burzum's "Rundgang um die Transzendentale Säule der Singularität".[3]
