Gulf of Mirabella

Island of Pseira in the Gulf of Mirabella

The Gulf of Mirabella, also called Mirabella (or Mirabello) Bay, is a body of water to the north of Lasithi on the island of Crete, which is the largest of the Greek islands and the fifth largest in the Mediterranean Sea. The tourist town Agios Nikolaos overlooks the bay. Panoramic views of the Gulf of Mirabella are obtained from the ancient hill fort of Lato, which site was developed in order to achieve a lookout for invaders.[1]
