Gulf Publishing Company is an international publishing and events business dedicated to the energy sector. Founded in 1916 by Ray Lofton Dudley, Gulf Publishing produces and distributes trade journals, industry research, databases, software, publications, conferences and events designed for the needs of the energy industry. It has been a subsidiary of Euromoney Institutional Investor since 2001.

The company's flagship magazines, World Oil and Hydrocarbon Processing, are published monthly. Gulf Publishing Company is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and has offices around the world, due to expansion efforts by William G. Dudley, Sr..

World Oil covers exploration, drilling and production for the oil and gas industry.[2]

Since 1922, Hydrocarbon Processing has been a magazine providing job-help information to technical and management personnel in petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical/chemical and engineer/constructor companies throughout the world.[3]

It formerly published trade books, but spun off the division as TaylorWilson (now part of Taylor Trade) in 2000.[4] Its professional book list was sold to Elsevier in 2013.[5]
