Founded in 2013 as the Gulf Coast Texans, they played in the National Premier Soccer League.[1] They played their home games in Ashton Brosnaham Stadium.[2] The team's primary colors were Navy Blue, Teal, and White.
History
The team was founded as a National Premier Soccer League expansion in 2013. They were part of the Gulf Coast Texans club, which also included a team in the Women's Premier Soccer League and youth teams. In 2013, the team announced it would end its partnership with the Texans and adopt a new name, Pensacola City FC.[3]
The team announced on May 29, 2014 they were folding and would not complete the 2014 NPSL season.[4]

Controversy
When the team folded, it caused controversy among players, and the team's owner.[6] The team's owner claimed that players showed up hungover and did not put in any effort during training sessions.[7] Players, however, say these statements were untrue. These players claim that they were removed from apartments, not properly trained, and room and board was not covered as per usual in NPSL.[8] Additionally coaches from other NPSL teams in Pensacola's division stated incredible displeasure with the events referring to the mid-season closing as "Irresponsible. Unprofessional. Embarrassing...".[9]
