Greig City Academy is a mixed-sex secondary school in the London borough of Haringey. Children from across the borough attend this popular comprehensive school which has around 1,000 pupils on its roll.

Headteacher Paul Sutton, OBE, says: "The successes of our students and the school as a whole are the result of a relentless focus on high standards of academic and personal achievement, positive attitudes towards learning and exemplary behaviour. We make sure the learning environment is well-ordered so that all students can feel safe and enjoy learning. Our students are the best ambassadors for the school - they are positive, lively and courteous and interact well with one another and with staff both in and out of the classroom."

Class sizes are small with a maximum of 25 pupils per class. The Academy has a thriving Sixth Form and links with many top universities.

Its outdoor education programme is generously supported by the Greig Trust and was declared by Ofsted to be a real strength of the school. The programme enables students across the school to experience activities such as abseiling, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, rock climbing and much more.

In particular, the school has its own fleet of seven boats, one of which is moored in Poole harbour http://gcasailing.com

There are more than 30 extra-curricular clubs at the school.

The Greig Trust and the Church of England sponsor the Academy, which is an Charitable organization#United Kingdom|exempt charity under English law.[1] David Greig, a successful local businessman, founded the Greig Trust in memory of his mother in 1949.
