Gregory Walter Rigters (born February 26, 1985) is a Surinamese footballer playing as a Forward for Walking Boyz Company in the Hoofdklasse, and for the Suriname national team.
Career
Rigters began his career in the 2007–08 SVB Hoofdklasse, playing for SV Voorwaarts. where played for seven season, before finishing his final season with the club as the league's top goal scorer with 16 goals. Transferring to Walking Boyz Company the following season, Rigters would finish as the league's top goal scorer once more with 20 goals scored.[1][2]
International career
Rigters plays for the Suriname national team having made his debut on 22 April 2009 in a friendly match against French Guiana which ended in a 0–0 draw. He scored his first goal for the national team on 30 April 2015 in a friendly match against Guyana.[3] On 16 June 2015 he scored the opening goal against Nicaragua in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match which ended in a 3–1 loss.[4]
