Participation history

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009

It was revealed in October 2008 that Greek broadcaster ERT was considering a withdrawal from the 2009 contest after five years of participation due of the relatively low television ratings for the Contest and an objection to using children.[1] ERT officially withdrew in late April 2009 citing the economic crisis at the time as a factor.[2]

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014

In January 2014, it was reported that NERIT were interested in taking part, taking over from defunct broadcaster ERT.[3][4] These rumours were later confirmed to be untrue.[5]
