Great Synagogue of Algiers
The Great Synagogue of Algiers was a synagogue in Algiers.
On December 11, 1960, the synagogue was attacked by an Arab mob which desecrated the Torah scrolls and prayer books.
After the Jews were expelled from Algiers, the synagogue was converted into a mosque and a minaret was built.
