Gravy is a 2015 American comedy horror film, directed by James Roday and co-written by Roday and Todd Harthan. It stars Sutton Foster, Lily Cole, Gabriel Luna, Gabourey Sidibe, Lothaire Bluteau, James Roday, Paul Rodriguez, Michael Weston, Molly Ephraim, and Sarah Silverman. The film was released in the United States on October 2, 2015 by Scream Factory.[1]

Plot

It's All Hallow's Eve. A trio of costumed misfits with very special dietary requirements seizes a Mexican cantina and forces the staff to engage in a late night of gaming, food and libations. The only caveat is what's on the menu.

James Roday and Dulé Hill appear in cameos as paramedics.

Production

On April 5, 2013, it was reported that actor James Roday would be making his film directorial debut with the dark comedy Gravy.[2] The film started production that same day in Los Angeles, California, with a cast including Sarah Silverman, Michael Weston, Jimmi Simpson, Sutton Foster, Lily Cole, Gabourey Sidibe, Paul Rodriguez, Molly Ephraim, Lothaire Bluteau, Gabriel Luna, and Ethan Sandler.[3]

Release

The distribution rights were acquired by Shout! Factory under its subsidiary Scream Factory on June 22, 2015.[4] The film was released in a limited release on October 2, 2015, before being released on video on demand, and DVD and Blu-Ray on October 6, 2015.[1][5]
