Golden Nugget Laughlin is an American casino-resort located on the banks of the Colorado River in Laughlin, Nevada, owned and operated by Landry's, Inc.[1][2] The tropical-themed resort offers a number of restaurants, 300 guest rooms and suites, an expansive casino floor and dedicated meeting space. Golden Nugget offers water taxi service from Bullhead City, Arizona, on the opposite side of the river.[3][4]

There are several Landry’s, Inc. restaurants at Golden Nugget, including Claim Jumper, Saltgrass Steak House and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.[5]

History

The Golden Nugget Laughlin was previously known as the Nevada Club, and has undergone the following timeline:[6]

1986—The resort underwent a major renovation

1989—Acquired by Mirage Resorts[7]

2004— Acquired by Poster Financial Group, Inc.[8]

May 31, 2005—Acquired by Landry’s, Inc., which was purchasing Golden Nugget Las Vegas at the same time[9]

2006—Rooms undergo renovation[10]

In the years since Landry’s, Inc. acquired Golden Nugget Las Vegas and Laughlin, three additional locations have been developed in Atlantic City, New Jersey; Biloxi, Mississippi; and Lake Charles, Louisiana.
