GoldMoney is a multinational holding company, which was founded by entrepreneurs Roy Sebag[2] and Josh Crumb.[3] Its core businesses are BitGold and GoldMoney, which offer full reserve precious metal focused financial services.[4] GoldMoney Inc date of incorporation is listed as 2015. GoldMoney is a worldwide precious metal custodian and investment firm headquartered in Jersey. In 2015, BitGold purchased the company for 59 million. The company still operates under the name GoldMoney Inc alongside its subsidiary BitGold. GoldMoney operates as a precious metal custodian that allows its customers to buy, sell or hold physical allocated metal stored in high-security vaults located in five countries.[7] The company was founded by commodity forecaster James Turk in 2002. Turk has said that the company's goals are “establish a financial institution that would recognise gold's significance as a financial asset.”[8] Roy Sebag who is now the CEO of GoldMoney Inc created a technology called “Aurum” a ledger that collects and distributes real-time gold prices from bullion counterparties which makes it more accessible to buy directly on the gold spot.[9] In December 2015, the company has stated it has 1.5 billion in customer assets.[10][11][12]
BitGold
BitGold is a self-directing gold payments/savings network located in Canada.[13] Users of BitGold have the optionality to save, spend, send, receive and redeem physical gold bullion within the network.[14] The company has stated that it is a full-reserve and gold-based financial service.[15][16][17]
