Gokavaram is a village and a Mandal in East Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is treated as entrance gate of eastern ghats forest area. This village is famous for tamarind and other forest products. [1]
Geography
Gokavaram is located at 17°16′00″N 81°51′00″E / 17.2667°N 81.8500°E, about 20 km driveaway from Rajahmundry Airport.[2] It has an average elevation of 45 meters (150 feet).
