Gobind Pura

Gobind Pura is one of the oldest residential areas in Faisalabad, Punjab, it is centrally located near the city's "Ghanta Ghar" (Clock Tower). Located on the main Nar Wala Road, Gobind Pura is opposite the Agriculture University of Faisalabad and adjacent to Jinnah Colony.

The owener of this property was Sardar Raees Gurdadt singh.He was died here and his family migrate after partician settle in province Jalandhar India.Ch Ghayai khan family migrate from india and settled this BARI KOTHI.He was five sons.1. Ch Ali Akbar khan.2.CH Zahoor Ahmad khan.3.Ch Anwar khan.4.Ch Safdar Jang khan.5.Ch Naisr Jang Khan. Gobind Pura's buildings sport both old and new architecture. The road situated between Gobind Pura and Jinnah Colony has been converted into a highly commercialized area with several hospitals, clinics, restaurants, schools, and bakeries. Four mosques reside in the area as well.

The market on the main road is called Ideal Chowk (used to be known as Boranwala Bhowk). The residential building named as BARI KOTHi (meaning "big house"), is now divided into several small units. It is a landmark building in the area. Members of the Chaudhary Naimat Khan and Chaudhary Safdar Jang Khan Family reside there.

Gobind Pura is also the old name of a village (now Quaid Abad) located in Tehsil Nowshera Virkan, Gujranwala District, Punjab, Pakistan. Quaid Abhad is a small village with a population of around 2,000 people. This village was named after Guru Gobind Singh. It was the center of Sikh civilization before the partition of the subcontinent. To this date, it has old buildings of the Sikh era. This village is deprived of basic facilities and has a low literacy rate.
