Gobinath Chandran is an Indian television anchor, radio jockey,[1] journalist, reporter, news reader,[2] entrepreneur,[2][3] writer[4] and an author, currently featured on the STAR Vijay debate show Neeya Naana.[5] He is often called "Neeya Naana" Gopinath and "Coat Gobinath".[6][7]
Early life
Gopinath was born in Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District, Tamil Nadu to Chandran and Kumudham Chandran in 1975.[8]
Career
Gopinath began his career in 2002 with Raj Television Network and did reporting assignments at Jaya TV, NDTV and CNBC-TV-18.[9] Later he joined Vijay TV and anchored Makkal Yaar Pakkam, a political analysis programme. In 2006, he started his position with Neeya Naana.
He has been an anchor for television series such as Makkal Yaar pakkam, Nadanthadhu enna?, Sigaram thotta Manidargal and En Desam! En Makkal in 2013.
He was a radio jockey (RJ) at Radio City, co-hosting programmes like CitySpice, a popular mid morning show, with RJ Aarthi,[10][11] to talk about your ideas and talents.
He has written four books. The first was a collection of poems, Theruvellam Devathaigal, and was published in 2007. The second book, Please indha Puthagathai vaangatheenga was based on personality development. The third was a self-motivating and self-analysing book called Neeyum Naanum. Gopinath's fourth book is Ner Ner Thema, a collection of interviews.
He also wrote a series articles with the title "Neeyum Naanum" in Aananda Vikatan. It is known for its scripted motivation.[4]

He has an institution called Taalk Shop Academy of Communication which has entered an memorandum of understanding with educational institutions to develop syllabus and provide all technical support including guest speakers to address the students to equip them better.[13][7]
