Global Politician
Global Politician was an online magazine of politics that publishes analysis of current events, as well as interviews with politicians, government officials, diplomats, book authors and terrorists. It was founded in October 2004 and is based in New York.[1]
Description
The magazine was founded in 2004 by David Storobin, who later became embarrassed by some of the articles posted on the site.[2] In 2005, Storobin was credited as editor-in-chief of the Global Politician in Citizens Magazine, to which he contributed an article on "The Nazi roots of Palestinian nationalism".[3][4]
The current Editor-in-Chief of the Global Politician is Sam Vaknin. The associate editors are Ryan Mauro, Ross Kaminsky, Bhuwan Thapaliya and Ghazal Omid.[5] The magazine's stated goal is to go beyond traditional news found in media to publish about events missed by mainstream media. It publishes 5-7 op-ed pieces daily, and several investigative reports and interviews per month.
The website allows people to contribute, on following conditions that are posted on its Get Published page:[6]
"Global Politician is an independent journal of politics, economics and world affairs.Global Politician publishes analytical, insightful and critical articles. Expressing one's own ideas is encouraged.
The material has to be well-written and provide actual knowledge, rather than propaganda or advertisement. Having said that, criticism or praise of governments, politicians, policies and actions is allowed."[6]
