Gliese 251 is a nearby red dwarf star of spectral type M4.0, located in constellation Gemini at 18.22 light-years from Earth.[1]

History of observations

The discovery name if this star is Wolf 294.[7] This indicates that it is known at least from 1919, when proper motion stellar catalogue by Max Wolf was published.[8][9]
