Glen Charles Rea (born 3 September 1994) is an English-born Irish professional footballer who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in League One as a central defender, and can also play in midfield. Rea is a Republic of Ireland U21 international.
Club career
Brighton & Hove Albion
Rea made his professional debut for Brighton on 11 August 2015 in the League Cup first round, Brighton beat Southend United 0–1 and Rea played the full 90 minutes.[3]
Southend United (loan)
On 29 August 2015 Rea signed for Southend United on loan until 2 January.[4] Rea made his Southend debut against Coventry City on 31 August 2015 in a 2–2 draw.[5]
International career
Rea's Republic of Ireland U21 debut came on 15 November 2014 against United States U21, in a game which the Republic of Ireland lost 1–0, Rea played the game in midfield.[6]
