Glanmire Community College
Glanmire Community College is an Irish secondary school located in Glanmire, Cork, Ireland. It was opened in 1997 and has since expanded considerably. Although a relatively new establishment, the school has won many prestigious awards in sports and academic activities.
The current principal of the school is Mr. Pat McKelvey
The school chaplain is Fr. Cian O'Sullivan.
There are roughly 85 teachers and 900 students in Glanmire Community College. The school has many facilities, including a music room, woodwork and metalwork rooms, technical graphics rooms, a home economics kitchen, sports facilities, including a tennis/basketball court, a gymnasium, a gym, and a GAA pitch.
The school is also a base for the VEC, with many musical instrument lessons being taught in the evenings.
An adult education has recently been set up in Glanmire Community College.
The school is involved in many projects, such as work with Bothar and have attained a Green Flag in the Green Schools project.
