Gilberto Ramírez Sánchez (born June 19, 1991 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico) is an undefeated Mexican professional boxer in the Middleweight division and is considered the best boxing prospect from Mexico.[1] Ramírez is the current WBC Youth World Middleweight Champion[2] and is promoted by Bob Arum's Top Rank Inc..[3]

Professional career

In April 2010, Gilberto beat veteran Jesus Ayala by 2nd-round K.O. in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico.[4]

On December 17, 2010,[5] Ramírez knocked out the undefeated Rogelio Medina to win the vacant WBC Youth World Middleweight Championship. The bout was held at the Gimnasio German Evers in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico.[6][7]
