Gierkiny [ɡʲɛrˈkinɨ] (German: Gerkiehnen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Sępopol, within Bartoszyce County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Sępopol, 28 km (17 mi) east of Bartoszyce, and 77 km (48 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
