Ghaziabad (Lok Sabha constituency)
Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency (Hindi: ग़ाज़ियाबाद लोकसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. This constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002.
Assembly segments
Presently, Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency comprises five Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. These are:[1]
- Loni
- Muradnagar
- Sahibabad
- Ghaziabad
- Dhaulana
Ghaziabad Vidhan Sabha segment was earlier in Hapur constituency.Ghaziabad's 20 lakh voters are split between four lakh Muslims, an equal number of Dalits, about 2.6 lakh Vaishyas and 7.5lakh Gurjars.[2] 230 villages in the constituency are Gurjars dominated by Baisla has about 50 villages and 20 by kasana gotra.[3][4]
