Gezin is a belde (town) in Maden district of Elazığ Province, Turkey at 38°31′N 39°31′E / 38.517°N 39.517°E. It is on Turkish state highway on the east shore of Lake Hazar, 25 kilometres (16 mi) from Maden and 55 kilometres (34 mi) from Elazığ. As of|2013 the population was 1106.[1] Formerly Gezin was situated several kilometers east of its present location, but was moved to its present place by the lake. In 1994 Gezin was declared a seat of township.[2] Town economy used to depend on animal husbandry, but after irrigation facilities were improved, farming superseded animal husbandry.
