The German squad will consist of 70 athletes competing in 20 sports: aquatics (swimming), archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, canoeing, fencing, gymnastics, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, sailing, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, weightlifting and wrestling.^[2]
