Gerald Lange Jr. is an American Democratic Party politician, who served as the District 7 representative on the Hudson County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders, one of nine members who serve in a legislative role administering all county business. District 7 includes the Town of Guttenberg, the Township of Weehawken and the Town of West New York.

Lange was chosen on November 21, 2006, to fill the vacancy of Silverio Vega, whose three-year term of office expires on December 31, 2008. Lange did not run in the 2007 special election to complete the term. Vega stepped down from his seat as a Freeholder to assume positions as Mayor of West New York and in the General Assembly to represent the 33rd legislative district. Vega in turn filled the seats that had been vacated by Albio Sires, who was elected to fill Bob Menendez's vacancy in New Jersey's 13th congressional district.[1]
