George Englund (born June 22, 1926) is an American film editor, director, producer and actor.[1]

Biography

He was married to actress Cloris Leachman from 1953 to 1979. They had five children: Adam Englund, Bryan Englund, George Englund Jr., Morgan Englund and actress Dinah Englund. He is the son of actress Mabel Albertson who played Darrin's mother, Phyllis Stephens, on "Bewitched". His maternal uncle was actor Jack Albertson from "Chico and the Man".

Englund was born in Washington, D.C. and was reportedly best friends with Marlon Brando, who starred in Englund's 1963 film The Ugly American, and wrote a memoir about their friendship.[2][3]
