Gaura Bauram (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: गौरा-बौरम विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Darbhanga district in the Indian state of Bihar.
Overview
As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 79 Gaura Bauram (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Gaura Bauram and Kiratpur community development blocks; Kothram, jamalpur, Bauram, Neuri, Bhawanipur, Rohar Mahmuda, Parri, Itwa Shivnagar, Supaul, Biraul, Sahsaram,and Saho gram panchayats of Biraul CD Block.[1]
Gaura Bauram (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 14 Darbhanga (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]
The block consist of 13 Panchayat namely Aasi, Adharpur, Bauram, Goura Mansingh, Kanhai, Kasrour Basouli, Kasrour Belwara, Kumai, Mansara, Nadai, Nari, South Kasround Karkouli
Election results
In the 2010 state assembly elections, SYED NASIR ANWAR of JD(U) won the newly created Gaura Bauram assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Dr. Mahavir Prasad of RJD.[2]
