Frontier High School (FHS) is a public American senior high school set in Bakersfield, California. The school is part of the Kern High School District since its inception in 2006. Its campus is located on the corner of Allen Road and Olive Drive.[1] The school's newspaper publication, entitled the Titan Tribune, posts stories and events online.[2]

History

Frontier High School was founded prior to the 2006/2007 school year, opening its doors only to incoming freshmen and sophomores. The first day of school for Frontier was on August 21, 2006.[1] Frontier's first graduating class was the Class of 2009

Athletics

The official mascot for the Frontier Titans.

The athletic director for FHS is Brad Harris. FHS sports teams are called the Titans, and have their home games on campus.[4] The Titans participate in the Southwest Yosemite League (Div. II, CIF Central Section) and have varsity, JV, and frosh/soph teams. Out of all the sports, the Titans have shown the most promise in Girl’s Golf and Girl's Soccer (the lady Titans have won the CIF championship in both sports).

In 2010 Frontier won the Valley Championship in Baseball in the (Div. II, CIF Central Section) playoffs and the Football team also hosted the Valley Championship in the (Div. II, CIF Central Section) playoffs
