Friedrich-Wilhelm von Loeper (3 August 1888 – 7 October 1983) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Although retired from active duty as of February 1945, von Loeper he was taken prisoner by Allied troops in May 1945 and was released in 1947.
