Free Italy
Free Italy (Italia Libera, IL) is a liberal political party in Italy.
It was founded on 22 November 2012 by a group of splinters from The People of Freedom (PdL), all members of the Chamber of Deputies: Isabella Bertolini, Gaetano Pecorella, Giorgio Stracquadanio (who had left earlier), Franco Stradella and Roberto Tortoli.[1][2][3]
In December 2012 IL joined forces with the Liberals for Italy, another splinter group from the PdL, and formed a 10-strong section within the Mixed Group.[4]
