Frankie hi-nrg mc, born Francesco Di Gesù (Turin, 18 July 1969), is an Italian rapper of Sicilian origin. Frankie hi-nrg mc has been active since the early stages of the Italian hip hop movement in the early 1990s, and predominantly discusses politics and society in his music.

His main activities revolve around music. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of Italian hip hop scene, and has written for and performed with Italian artists like Fiorella Mannoia, Giorgia and Raf, including international stars like RZA, Nas, Beastie Boys and Run DMC.

Since "Fight da faida" (Irma Records,1992), his debut single, he published 5 albums with RCA, wrote "Quelli che benpensano" which was awarded Italian Song Of The Year 1998 and participated in the "Festival Della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo 2008" with his song "Rivoluzione" and 2014 with “Pedala” and “Un uomo è vivo”

During his whole career Frankie toured extensively with great success, performed at MTVday, CocaColaLive @MTV, in many editions of Concerto PrimoMaggio in Rome and as a special guest in Sanremo 2004's final night together with Paola Cortellesi.

Frankie has expressed himself in many other fields, writing and directing music videos, hosting tv shows (MTVbrand:new, StreetArt on SKYarte, etc.), acting in movies, writing on popular newspapers and magazines and playing as a dj in clubs/events. He's also a popular and stylish photographer iphoneographer.

Since 2009 he has been an independent artist, with his label Materie Prime Circolari snc and his latest album "Essere Umani" which was released on February 2014
