Frances Halsband

Frances Halsband (born October 30, 1943, in New York City) is an American architect. She received her B.A. at Swarthmore College and a Master's from Columbia University.[1] She has served on juries for design awards and chaired the 1999 American Institute of Architects Committee on Design.[2]

Awards

In 2014, Halsband was recognized for her work designing the Long Island Rail Road Entrance, New York Penn Station, a winning site of Built by Women New York City,[3] a competition launched by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation during the fall of 2014 to identify outstanding and diverse sites and spaces designed, engineered and built by women.
